Highlights flexible utilization of HPC resources via Application Builder and COMSOL Server™

Göttingen (June 24, 2015) — Comsol Multiphysics GmbH is proud to support this year’s International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) in Frankfurt, Germany as a Bronze Sponsor. The ISC is Europe‘s leading event for high performance computing, networking, and storage and will take place July 13-16. At Booth 929 Comsol will present its HPC solutions for Multiphysics simulation. Along with its flagship software, COMSOL Multiphysics®, the company will highlight the new Application Builder and COMSOL Server™ products which make HPC-simulation accessible to a broader public. The company will also introduce them to the audience in several presentations at Intel’s presentation hub as well as in the exhibitor forum and the CAE pavilion.

The ISC is an international conference on supercomputing held annually in Germany since 1986. Traditionally the conference has been the venue for one of the twice yearly TOP500 announcements, where the updated ranking of the fastest 500 supercomputers in the world is published. This year the organizers expect about 2600 participants. The conference program includes more than 300 talks and 160 exhibitors will present their products and services.

At Booth 929 COMSOL will present the latest version of its COMSOL Multiphysics® version 5.1 product suite, which includes the Application Builder and COMSOL Server™. COMSOL Server is particularly suitable for HPC usage as its license scheme and functionalities offer an efficient and cost-effective way to conduct multiphysical simulations in an HPC environment.

The COMSOL contributions to the conference program will be presented on Tuesday, July 14, at 3:45 pm in the session “CAE Solutions for HPC Systems 02” and on Wednesday, July 15, 3:20 pm in the Exhibitor Forum.

Pär Persson Mattsson, Technical Support Engineer and HPC Consultant at Comsol Multiphysics GmbH, will give his talk with the title “COMSOL Multiphysics & COMSOL Server: HPC Simulation for Everyone” on Tuesday. Dr. Winfried Geis, Branch Manager of Comsol Multiphysics GmbH, Göttingen, will give his presentation with the title “COMSOL Multiphysics: Democratization of HPC: How COMSOL-Apps Redefine CAE“ at the Exhibitor Forum on Wednesday.

In addition to its Booth 929 on the ISC floor, Comsol will be present at Intel’s exhibit booth 930 as well as Fujitsu’s exhibit Booth 826 as a Fujitsu Alliance Partner.
