Reducing The Power Consumption of My Mole Chaser (Maulwurfschreck)
Controlling the molechaser-buzzer with the ATtiny13A watchdog-timer. The average current consumption is now reduced from 4mA to 0.43mA.
By replacing the 555-timer with an ATtiny13A and a few Bytes of Software the average current consumption could be reduced from 4mA to 0.43mA.
The Batteries are now > 1400 days running, compared with < 200days before.
The buzzer is controlled by watchdog-timer and NMOSFET.
